Congratulations to to Bradley, who topped a competitive Laser fleet at the Big Sound Challenge held at Parry Sound. Six wins and a throw-out second place emphatically put his stamp on the proceedings. Strong winds left the Sudbury contingent wishing they had rigged Radial sails instead of their full rigs. Our thanks go out to the Hick family who put up the Sudbury visitors at their lakeside cottage on Parry Island.
Rick Cooper and henchmen have produced another newsletter.
Y Flyers and Lasers turned out for a warm and blustery Vale regatta. Andrew Dasys was on hand to get some photos of the action and of some of the spectators.
Despite the chilly temperature and nuking winds, the six Lasers turned out for a couple of informal fun races. Thanks to Jude for running the races. Matt Smider, a former member, showed us how to sail the boat flat despite not having sailed a Lase for four years. The photos were taken by Indrek. Great fun was had by all!
Five Lasers and three Y Flyers were on hand for a blustery first race of 2016. The strong and shifty winds blew away the accumulated cobwebs acquired over the winter. The rescue boat had a busy afternoon. Results are under the "racing" tab.
