It is with the greatest pleasure the Laser Fleet congratulates Scott Avery, now to be known as Scott the Rocket Avery, on winning the Big Sound Challenge Regatta at Parry Sound on Aug. 15/16. Four SYC members attended staying at Tony Hick’s magnificent cottage right on the sound. After 5 races in light to moderate winds it all came down to the last with Scott needing a first place and win he did making no mistakes under pressure, sailing smart and fast as he did all weekend. Scott is our Laser fleet captain promoting our club our sport with boundless enthusiasm and he made us proud.
Way to go Scott!
